Book Origami

Here is the piece from the last post, but finished!  The crochet is mounted to the book, which I love.  I decided to do an altered book backing after seeing this photo on Flickr - I was so inspired by it!  When I started fiddling around with some old books (from a box headed for donation - no treasured books were harmed in this experiment!) I realized that the possibilities are endless.  I now have four or five "origami books" waiting to be put to use.

And here is a doodle I made the other day, just for fun!

zajpcrThe origami book looks so effective! It makes a great contrasting background for the delicate crochet.

That book looks like it's been sitting in the back of the fridge too long... or at the bottom of the ocean!
